Boo not appearing in my account
Hello,
I just recorded a boo about half an hour ago. It appears in my
account on my iPhone, and I can listen back to it etc. But it is
not appearing in my account on the website, and it hasn't posted to
my Twitter or Facebook, though both are enabled to do so.
It doesn't appear in the Recent timeline either, so I don't really
know where it is! Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Hi, what account are you logged into on the phone? What was the boo called?

Hello - I was logged into http://audioboo.fm/BallinrobeGAA. The boo was called Club Award Winners. I can see and listen to it on my phone, where it sits like any other boo under My Boos. But it hasn't published it seems. Yet it is not in drafts either. It was recorded at 11.25am yesterday (GMT.)
I recorded a test boo last night under the same conditions (i.e. logged in as BallinrobeGAA), and that published fine. This one seems to have vanished! Thank you

Hi - you mean this one - http://audioboo.fm/boos/654281-club-award-winners ? It's currently third down on your profile page (http://audioboo.fm/BallinrobeGAA). Or am I missing something...?

No, that's a re-recording I made this morning - yesterday's one still hasn't turned up. Thanks

Weird. I've seen this a couple of times before (an upload fails, our server tells the phone to try again, but the phone instead thinks it succeeded so doesn't bother) and each time it's been on O2 ireland's 3G network. It sounds really unlikely, but I'm starting to think they might be doing something funny with certain HTTP responses.
Sorry about that - if you were particularly keen to recover the file it should still be on your phone. You could try copying it via something like http://www.macroplant.com/iexplorer/.

No problem, thanks for your efforts. Yes, it's on Ireland's 02 3G network that it happened. I was able to re-record what I needed, I suppose I just hope it doesn't happen with something that can't be recreated. Thanks again, and thanks for the tip off re macroplant, will check that out. Liam

This comment was split into a new discussion: Phoneboo not appearing in my account

For what it's worth, the latest update adds extra safeguards to try and avoid this issue. Let us know if you have any more problems.

I had the above mentioned problem myself. I posted this problem on my own thread, and saw this post after I was done. Thanks for the solution through that Iexplorer program. I'll give that a try. this just happened today, and I'm in Canada, on a 3G conection.I'm using the latest version of the iPhone app and it failed and didn't resume. My boo was entitled The Friday Run-around, so I'll try what was suggested.
