Is there a Blackberry App?

I was at a conference recently and Audioboo was discussed. I would love to use your service but don't see an app for Blackberry? HELP! Ann Schneider, Wisconsin

    Hi,

    We don't yet have a native BlackBerry app - it's on the to-do list, but that list is awfully long and we're a really small team!

    As an alternative, we're trialling a boo-by-email system, would you be interested in trying this?

    Sure. Send a blank email to ***@audioboo.fm. You'll get your own email address setup which you can link with your audioboo account.

    When it's linked, just use the Subject as the title and add audio and pic to the body.

    This is still beta, so may be subject to outtages.

    Unfortunately, it doesn't work with AMR format, which is what the BlackBerry uses for voice recordings.

    I might be wrong, but thought that we started supporting amr recently. Have you tried in the past couple of weeks?

    Are you any further in developing an ap for Blackberry?
    Or - couldn't you have a telephone number we could ring - make the recording and then once disconnected it links to our audioboo homepage? This is what http://www.cinchcast.com offers and it works well.

    We would normally have Phoneboo, but we've taken it down will we write a new scalable version. It's Thom's baby, but he's away this week - we may have news on it the week after this...
