I copies the RSS feed address from the profile page for my audioboo, like the instructions said, but I keep on getting rejected by iTunes because they say the address isn't any good. Here is the address I get when I right click the RSS symbol on my profile page: http://audioboo.fm/users/54905/boos.atom Is there anything wrong with it that you can see? Do I need to do something else to make it work with iTunes? Thanks.

Hmm, it looks like iTunes has changed the way it fetches feeds, and
our server is rejecting it because it looks like iTunes is spoofing
its IP. I'll see what we can do...

    Hi,
I've just tweaked our server configuration and the warnings we were seeing related to this have ceased.

Could you try re-submitting your feed again (if it will let you)?

    Cheers, Thomas.

I sure will. Thanks for helping with this. I won't be able to try it until later today but that would be excellent. So far AudioBoo has offered a lot of great features which I want to continue to take advantage of and your help is essential for that. I will let you know what happens. I am quite sure that the last two times 1) it was rejected (about 2+ wks ago) then 2) it was accepted and then disappeared. I will let you know what happens later.

OK, I had a moment so I copied my address and resubmitted to iTunes. So far so good. Thank you for the quick response. Now keeping my fingers crossed that they will like it and put it up so I can go booing around.

I submitted the Audioboo address yesterday. I searched for my Podcast today, nothing yet. It has only been one day and I know that iTunes 10 just came out and yadda dadda so I will give it a bit more time.

Yeah, they can be a bit slow approving things sometimes. Usually can

I resubmitted my Audioboo address to iTunes today, Wednesday 9/8. I figured that since iTunes had just gone through a massive change (9 to 10) that they may have lost my request (or some thing had happened) so it couldn't hurt to resubmit it.

It's been a week and I just checked. No Audioboo from Possets. Is there something else I can try? What's your thoughts on this? Thanks.

Give it a bit longer, some of mine have taken this long. They ought to send you an email once they accept (or reject) it.

I looked for it again in iTunes and didn't find it. So, I thought that I should record another one and that might work. So I did that and submitted the address to iTunes. I didn't hear a word from them about the first one that I submitted to them, neither accepted or rejected. It was like I didn't exist. So I am hoping that this one gets someone's attention. Here is what I submitted to them, please tell me if you see something wrong with this:
    http://audioboo.fm/users/54905/boos.atom

That is exactly the same thing I submitted before.

Apple suggested the I contact you. That is how I got here in the first place. ahem

So I went off and contacted them, this is what they said:

    Dear Fabienne,

Welcome to iTunes Store Customer Support. My name is Venkatesh and I will be glad to assist you today with your issue.

I understand that you signed up with Audioboo and submitted your podcast station to be put in iTunes. Though you were accepted but it latter disappeared and wanted to get your podcast accepted by iTunes.
I can imagine how frustrating this might be for you and certainly help you resolve your issue.

Fabienne, the iTunes team reviews each podcast submission. Depending on demand, it may take a week or two before the podcast is published.

If you are resubmitting a podcast for review, the iTunes Store may detect the submission as a duplicate and generate an error message stating that the feed has already been submitted. You can follow these steps to resubmit the podcast:

    1) Change the title and link fields of the RSS feed to something other than what they are now.

    2) Resubmit the podcast feed via iTunes.

    3) Once you have successfully submitted the podcast, you can change the title and link fields back to what they were.

There are several less common reasons iTunes might have displayed this error:

    • The podcast's RSS feed was not available.
    • The podcast's RSS feed timed out.
    • The podcast's RSS feed could not be validated.

If you are the podcaster, make sure your podcast is available on the Internet. Your podcast's RSS feed also should conform to the iTunes extended podcast RSS specification.

    http://www.apple.com/itunes/whatson/podcasts/specs.html

If you're still having trouble, consider consulting the Apple Discussions forums, which have a wealth of information about specific issues. Click Producing Podcasts in the Pro Applications: Audio area of this page:

    http://discussions.apple.com

If you are not the podcaster, please contact the podcaster and direct him or her to our specification.

If you require further assistance, please do not hesitate to reply to this email and I will be more than happy to assist you further.

Thank you for being an iTunes Store customer. Have a great day!

    Sincerely,

    Venkatesh

Yes, thank you. I took a good look at what they told me to do and I honestly don't know how I would go about doing it. I did ask them THAT question, too and have not heard back from them.

I am supposed to change the link to my RSS feed? (that doesn't sound right...how are you supposed to connect to my RSS feed if the address isn't correct?), then resubmit (I think that Apple would reject that on the basis of not being able to connect to an address that isn't correct), then put it back to the proper address and name after it's accepted? How are you supposed to do that? It's in Apple's site then, I don't have access to that.

Maybe I am just missing something, but I don't think this advice from Apple is very good. I really like Audioboo, and I don't want to have to go back to what I was using before but I can't be chasing this around forever. I have to start podcasting again. :(

Something you might try while we wait for Apple to respond is to
submit your podcast again, but use this link -
http://audioboo.fm/users/54905/boos.atom?1 - which iTunes will think
is a different URL due to the ?1 on the end, but will work fine on
    Audioboo.

I was using Podbean. It's a good system but you have to have a mic hooked up to your computer, Audacity, and there is no app. That's fine but with modern conveniences it becomes limiting. Audioboo is nice because it allows you to be out, see something work commenting on, then you can comment and have a podcast right then when you have the idea fresh and you are enthusiastic about it. Thanks for the alternative address, I will try it out.

I just got my Boo accepted by iTunes. The message came through late last night. I am very grateful to you for sticking with me and helping me get to this point. It's a lot quicker and easier to use Audioboo than any other podcasting software I have tried and it's wonderful to be able to tell people they can subscribe by iTunes. So Thank you very much for making such a useful and responsive piece of software.
